Noah and I have had a pretty mellow week, but we did meet our friends Amanda and Alex at the mall, to do a little baby Gap shopping and walk around -- yes, I actually did a few "laps" at the mall!

Noah and I also went to our first baby Gymboree class! The closest Gymboree, unfortunately, is in Albuquerque, but we drove down with some new friends, Bridget and Dean. The boys both slept in the car so the mamas could chit chat, and the class was really fun!! Noah was really engaged for the first 5 minutes, then he slept for the rest of it :) No complaints when your baby sleeps, though!

It's official, Noah is a far better flier than his mama!! I spent the 2 hours, 50 minutes of each flight waiting for disaster to strike...Noah was happy as a lark!! He was perfect on both flights, to and from Seattle, where he and I spent a week visiting family and friends... and, most importantly, celebrating Auntie's 30th birthday! Noah and I flew in 2 days early as a surprise, and met her for lunch on her big day - she was totally shocked and we were quite pleased to have pulled off the surprise!

Noah had a GREAT time -- meeting new people (including cousin Ari's new little puppy, a less than 2 lb white ball of terror), hanging out naked in Grammy's yard, swinging, splashing in his cousin's kiddie pool, and being very spoiled by his Grammy!

We did miss Daddy and Charlie, but they held down the fort just fine without us. Noah and I are heading back to Seattle in mid-August, so stay tuned for part 2 of our vacation!

4 month check up

Noah had his 4 month check up yesterday - and he actually turned 4 months yesterday as well! His growth was great and he was healthy, and weighed in at a whopping 12 lb, 9 oz! My baby is big!! He will likely start rice cereal in the next month or so, and he's getting really strong and alert. He is very close to rolling over -- this morning he actually rolled from his tummy to his back! He was quite proud of himself, even if it may have been a little on accident. It still counts! Bill and I are loving EVERY minute of being Noah's parents - he is the best! We love you, boogs.

(For those that don't know, we lovingly refer to him as boogs, or boogie. We have strange nicknames for our dog AND our son!)

His official 4 month "stats" are as follows:
weight - 12 lbs, 9 oz, 19%
height - 24 1/2 in, 52%
head - 16 1/4 in, 40%

We spent the long 4th of July weekend with Noah's uncle, auntie and cousins, who came to Santa Fe for a visit! Noah hadn't met his auntie or cousins, and he loved them!! And his favorite place to hang out and sleep was his uncle's arms -- guess Dave hasn't lost the touch!

Noah really enjoyed getting to know his cousins - the first time he actually giggled for more than a split second, was when they were acting silly and playing with him. So cute!
