4UR Part 2

4UR Part 1

We spent last week at the beautiful 4UR Ranch in southwestern Colorado (in Creede, CO). Belo was there with us for the first half of the week, and the setting could not have been more beautiful!!

Fishing, a river, a pool, delicious (and plentiful!!) food, hiking, a cookout (complete with campfire songs), dogs, horses, cats (that Noah thought were dogs)... it was a fabulous getaway and there are tons of pictures.

Monday we went on a hike with a few friends, and then had a get together back at our house!

4th of July!

We had so much fun on the 4th! Belo and Susu had a real tee pee at their house, and we swam, played, had a pinata, and did fireworks (kinda scared the kid!!)!

I ♥ my new camera!

This morning we took a short journey (19 miles out of Santa Fe) to the traditional village of Cerrillos, NM. It's an old 'mining town' cum tourist attraction, although I doubt many tourists actually visit.

The petting zoo was the real reason for our trip, and David, Anne, and the kids (here for their annual 4th of July visit) accompanied us.

(it was also a perfect excuse to test out our new camera - which I am LOVING! and I haven't even tried my new lens... I see many fabulous photos in this blog's future!)
