Last weekend, all of us, including road-trip-veteran Charlie, piled in the car and took a short road trip (only 2 hr 45 min) to Ruidoso, NM, to visit Granny and Poppy (Sally and Doug), who have a home there. It was a very mellow weekend, but very fun!

Friday night we all went to an auction/casino night at the Country Club - including Mr. Noah, who was quite the good luck charm at the craps table. Actually, I think I was just rolling hot! I learned how to play craps (of course it's all the more fun with 'funny money') - and now I sort of want to go to Vegas...

Other than that, we all just hung out, and Noah had fun being spoiled by his grandparents!!

We sure hope to have a lot more visits in Ruidoso!

Okay, I think I am getting this...










We gave Noah his first taste of rice cereal last week. He liked it!! He loves anything that goes in his mouth, be it milk, medicine, oral vaccinations, you name it. So I wasn't that surprised he enjoyed the cereal. He's had it about 4 times, and each time he gets the hang of it a little more. We plan to start giving it to him regularly very soon -- and then it's on to vegetables, lucky kid!

My sister and I had the kids' photos taken on my last trip to Seattle! I am soooo pleased with them - LOVE them!! It wasn't the easiest feat, getting a 3 year old, a 5 year old and a tired 4 month old to hold still/look at the camera/smile/behave. But, we did manage to get many great shots!! Now the only problem is deciding which ones to frame :)

I posted quite a few shots - the best of the best, in my opinion. (check out Sissy's blog for more awesome photos of my adorable niece and nephew)

Noah and I have had a pretty mellow week, but we did meet our friends Amanda and Alex at the mall, to do a little baby Gap shopping and walk around -- yes, I actually did a few "laps" at the mall!

Noah and I also went to our first baby Gymboree class! The closest Gymboree, unfortunately, is in Albuquerque, but we drove down with some new friends, Bridget and Dean. The boys both slept in the car so the mamas could chit chat, and the class was really fun!! Noah was really engaged for the first 5 minutes, then he slept for the rest of it :) No complaints when your baby sleeps, though!

It's official, Noah is a far better flier than his mama!! I spent the 2 hours, 50 minutes of each flight waiting for disaster to strike...Noah was happy as a lark!! He was perfect on both flights, to and from Seattle, where he and I spent a week visiting family and friends... and, most importantly, celebrating Auntie's 30th birthday! Noah and I flew in 2 days early as a surprise, and met her for lunch on her big day - she was totally shocked and we were quite pleased to have pulled off the surprise!

Noah had a GREAT time -- meeting new people (including cousin Ari's new little puppy, a less than 2 lb white ball of terror), hanging out naked in Grammy's yard, swinging, splashing in his cousin's kiddie pool, and being very spoiled by his Grammy!

We did miss Daddy and Charlie, but they held down the fort just fine without us. Noah and I are heading back to Seattle in mid-August, so stay tuned for part 2 of our vacation!
